| Jun. 6th, 2009 09:47 pm Han Solo P.I I saw this online and had to post.
Someone basically did the Star Wars movies done as the opening to Magnum, P.I. They actually went through the movie and found exact scenes that fit each scene in the Magnum opening. The below video does a scene by scene comparison.
Another example of someone with too much time on their hands...

| Apr. 20th, 2007 11:09 am Shameless Begging - Cool Stuff to buy... I've mentioned in previous posts that I will be particiating in the 48 Hour Film Projects. One of the things we are working on is covering the costs of the production.
One thing you can do to lend your support is to purchase one of the items at our CafePress.com store. You can buy a number of items bearing the official "Suffusion of Yellow Productions" logo. These items include T-shirts, Buttons, Magnets, Caps, Bags, and the official "Suffusion of Yellow Productions" thong ("Made in the USA").
The link for these items is http://www.cafepress.com/teamyellow.
We're not making a lot of money from these items, but we wanted to give people the chance to get something they could wear or use to show off their support and to bring in a little extra cash. Please share this link with others and especially encourage people who might come to see our screening at the AFI Silver Theater to buy a shirt or hat or even a button to wear to the theater that night.
You might want to skip wearing the thong to the screening, although it would certainly draw attention for our film.
Thanks in Advance!!! 1 comment - Leave a comment | |

| Apr. 6th, 2007 11:20 pm Begging... Apologies to those who read this in divalion's journal...
As I stated in an earlier post, I am working on the 48 hour film project this year. I am going to be producing. However, in order to get this project going, we are going to need money. This is where the shameless begging comes into play.
The full details are at http://divalion.livejournal.com/290274.html. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!

Stewie Griffin You scored 70% Evilness, 100% Horniness, 90% Intelligence, and 40% Fitness! |
You're Stewie Griffin!
You're an evil genius, and you have sexy parties. Your matricidal tendencies mean you don't have much time to go to the gym, and you may be in danger of developing an eating disorder. Once you're toilet-trained, the world will never be safe again!

| Mar. 23rd, 2007 07:48 am "I Wanna Be a Producer..." Apologies in advance to those who have already read this on divalion's LJ.
As I have mentioned previously I will be working on the 48 Hour Film Project once again. Last year, I was a Script Supervisor/Continuity Person. This year I am going to be Producing (I feel more like Matthew Broderick than Nathan Lane, and certainly not Zero Mostel).
It will a lot more responsiblity than last year, but I think it will be a lot of fun.
More info can be found at http://divalion.livejournal.com/287630.html, but the scoop right now is that we are canvasing for possible resources, whether it be great location, unusual skills, film/lighting equipment, or great props and costumes. If you have anything of this sort, please let us know so we can work up a contact/resource list.
The budget is being finalized, so as divalion says, the shameless begging will come later. :-)
Also, if you are interested in getting involved in the filmmaking process, let us know. There are no promises, but we can see. Current Mood: enthused

Feb. 3rd, 2007 12:06 am I can go with this... | You scored as Mystic. You are a Mystic. Practical magic isn't really your thing; you much prefer to take the inner roads to self-development and spiritual evolution. You find ecstasy in meditative silence and commune with the divine without aid of any church or religious leader to guide you. You will seek the light of heaven in your own way, even if that way is not apparent to the casual observer.

 | You scored as Lara Croft. A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. | Jan. 4th, 2007 09:54 pm A Cool Link... I recently found a pretty cool link that I figured I'd share (especially given the number of my friends who enjoy soundtracks. It is a blog called the OST Hub (http://osthub.blogspot.com/) that links to a ton of blogs that have out of print and rare Soundtracks available for download. They generally go through rapidshare or megaupload, so the number of files you can download is somewhat limited (Rapidshare is once an hour). However, the soundtracks available have been worth it.

Dec. 20th, 2006 12:33 pm Quiz Stuff | Your Dosha is Vata | Creative and restless, you take in all of life's pleasures (maybe a little too much!). You're quick witted and very talkative, but you also tend to have a spotty memory. You tend to get very into ideas, people, and lifestyles... but only for a short time. It's difficult to hold your attention, and you sometimes feel with what life has to offer.
With friends: You are very uncomfortable in new situations or with new people
In love: You fall in and out of love very easily
To achieve more balance: Live in a warm climate and spend some quiet time in nature |
| Your Movie Buff Quotient: 90% | You are a movie buff of the most obsessive variety. If a movie exists, chances are that you've seen it. You're an expert on movie facts and trivia. It's hard to stump you with a question about film. | 1 comment - Leave a comment | |

| Dec. 8th, 2006 02:41 pm Practically Perfect in Every Way... Grabbed from Ninjaslug
The interesting thing is that I have taken the Myers-Briggs tests six times and each time I've been pretty much in the center with a slight variance of +/- 5 from the middle (and which direction the variance goes shifts from side to side). My thought has always been that it means that I can snap at any second.. :-)
Almost Perfect- INFP 46% Extraversion, 53% Intuition, 46% Thinking, 46% Judging |
So, you want to make the world a better place? Too bad it's never gonna happen.
Of all the types, you have to be one of the hardest to find fault in. You have a selfless and caring nature. You're a good listener and someone who wants to avoid conflict. You genuinely desire to do good.
Of course, these all add up to an incredibly overpowered conscience which makes you feel guilty and responsible when anything goes wrong. Of course, it MUST be your fault EVERYTIME.
Though you're constantly on a mission to find the truth, you have no use for hard facts and logic, which is a source of great confusion for those of us with brains. Despite this, in a losing argument, you're not above spouting off inaccurate fact after fact in an effort to protect your precious values.
You're most probably a perfectionist, which in this case, is a bad thing. Any group work is destined to fail because of your incredibly high standards.
Disregard what I said before. You're just easy to find fault in as everyone else!
Luckily, you're generally very hard on yourself, meaning I don't need to waste my precious time insulting you. Instead, just find all your own faults and insult yourself.
